Freedom Tower

I still think they should have rebuilt the World Trade Centre towers. Their absence seems to me a permanent reminder of the dreadful success of the terrorists' mission that day. In the same way, I prefer cities that rebuilt, as best they could, after the devastation of Second World War bombing raids. If only the rest of Warsaw had been rebuilt as well as the historic centre, and the architectural horror show that is Rotterdam is another example of modernity destroying memory.




I guess it's gonna be good and big, at least. So I suppose it still represents giving the finger somewhat...
